Informative Session on Digital Library Resources

 On the occasion of National Librarian  Day, Library Advisory committee of PCM S.D. College for Women organized an informative session on Digital Library Resources to guide students about the effective use of e-resources. The session was conducted by Ms. Sonia Kumari, Librarian, who explained how digital libraries are transforming the way students access information.
During her address, Ms. Sonia highlighted the availability of various e-journals, e-books, databases, online theses, OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue), and open-access resources provided by the college library. She also explained the process of accessing these resources both on-campus and remotely. She emphasized that digital resources save time, provide authentic information, and support students’ academic and research needs. The librarian also demonstrated the use of platforms such as INFLIBNET N-LIST, Shodhganga, DOAJ, and National Digital Library of India (NDLI).
The session concluded with an interactive question–answer round, where students clarified their doubts about downloading, citation, and plagiarism issues. The students appreciated the initiative and expressed enthusiasm to make the best use of digital resources for their studies and competitive exam preparations.
Principal Dr. Pooja Prashar, along with President Sh. Naresh Budhia and Senior Vice President Sh. Vinod Dada of the Managing Committee, highly appreciated the efforts of the library. They encouraged students to adopt digital learning and congratulated the librarian for creating awareness about modern academic resources.
